mode:push (modepush.dev) is operated by its individual developer in California ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, do not create an account.
mode:push is an independent fan product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Formula 1, Formula One Group, the FIA, Liberty Media, or any team or driver. F1, FORMULA 1 and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. Timing-derived information shown in the app is unofficial and provided for entertainment.
Sign-in uses Google authentication. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
mode:push chat is a shared grandstand. Do not post: harassment or personal attacks, slurs or hate, doxxing, sexual or graphic content, spam or flooding, or illegal content. Messages pass through automated moderation and may be hidden or removed; rate limits apply. Repeated or severe violations end accounts.
You own what you write. You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, translate, and moderate your messages so the service can function. Messages hidden by moderation are retained in a moderation log (see Privacy).
Some features may require a paid subscription, processed by our payment provider (Polar). Prices are shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals and access continues to the end of the paid period. Where the law of your region requires refunds, we honor it.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties. Live data can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. You may stop using the service at any time; see Data Deletion for removing your data.
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.

This explains what mode:push collects and why. Short version: what we need to run a live chat app, nothing more, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Account: your Google sign-in profile (name, email address, profile photo). Content you create: chat messages, watch party names and messages, poll votes, feedback you submit. Technical: anonymous usage analytics (pages viewed, feature events, referral source) via Vercel Analytics. We do not run ads or advertising trackers.
To keep chat safe and readable, every message is automatically processed after posting: moderation review via Anthropic's Claude API, and language detection/translation via Google Translate. Message text transits these providers for that purpose only. Messages hidden by moderation are retained, with the reason, in a moderation log we use for safety review. This log is not public.
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and hosted with Vercel and Google Cloud, in the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.
Subscriptions are processed by Polar. We receive subscription status, not your card details.
Account data and messages persist while your account exists. Analytics are aggregate. Moderation log entries are kept while relevant for safety. On deletion requests, see Data Deletion below.
You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time: email support@modepush.dev from your account email. EU/UK users: we process account and content data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and safety processing under legitimate interest; you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
mode:push is not for users under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 16, we will delete it.

To delete your account and data: email support@modepush.dev from the email address on your account with the subject "delete my account".
Within 30 days we will delete: your authentication record, profile, chat messages, watch party content, poll votes, presence records, and feedback attributable to you.
What may be retained: moderation log entries where needed for safety or legal reasons, payment records our payment provider must keep by law, and aggregate analytics that do not identify you.
Deletion is permanent. If you sign in again afterwards, a fresh account is created.
